Marina Lesse

Head Coach

Girls JV Soccer

Marina Lesse grew up in Pasadena, CA where she played and coached AYSO, Club, High School, and College soccer.  Over her four years in high school, she earned multiple recognitions and honors for her talent and sportsmanship. While playing at the highest level of club soccer, she also won a high school CIF-SS championship her senior year where she co-captioned the team. She also played at Pasadena City College where she captained the team for two years. 

While in school, Marina organized multiple used soccer gear collections where she successfully collected and donated more than 15,000 items of gently used soccer equipment.  Her donations went to countries around the world as well as local communities in Southern California. These countries include Ghana, Haiti, Sierra Leon, Jamaica, Iraq, Cameroon, Central America. The gear was distributed with the help of FedEx, US Soccer, as well as local charities and the Los Angeles Galaxy. In response to the 2017 Hurricane Harvey in Texas, Marina organized another gear collection that provided the Greater Houston Area with more than 1,000 items of new and used equipment. The effort directly benefited the lives of those affected by the hurricane and helped get their lives back on track. Gear was distributed by the Major League Soccer team the Houston Dynamo to local organizations such as the YMCA, Soaring Kidz, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, and the Houston Dynamo Charities. 

After two years of college, Marina joined the United States Navy where she served as an Electronics Technician/ Nuclear Reactor Operator. After her service, she returned to California where she continued to coach soccer in the LA area for both club and high school as well as coaching for the Los Angeles Galaxy where she worked at camps and clinics. She recently graduated from California State University Monterey Bay with a Bachelors of Science in Marine Science. Marina currently works as a fisheries aide with the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, where she helps tag and monitor steelhead trout.
