Warren Holt

Hall of Fame Class of 2006

 

Warren Holt (class of 1986) – Warren was a three-year varsity baseball and basketball player. In basketball, Warren was a two-time All-League and All-County selection.  Warren was selected three-times to the Dad’s Club All-Tournament Team, and he was a key member of Coach Warmerdam’s 1985-86 SCCAL, CCS, and Nor Cal championship team. In 1986, Warren was also selected to the All-CCS and All-Nor Cal basketball teams. In baseball, Warren was a three-time All-League and All-County selection, and a member of the 1984 SCCAL championship team. In 1986, Warren was selected as the U.S Army Scholar-Athlete scholarship winner. Despite being drafted twice by the Toronto Blue Jays (1986 and 1988), Warren chose to pitch for Cabrillo College and CSU Sacramento. Warren graduated from Sacramento in 1993 with a degree in Civil Engineering, and in 1997 earned his professional engineer’s license. Warren is married to Santa Cruz High grad Diedre Nitzberg, and they have three children, Jordan, Brennan, and Summer. Warren owns and operates Central Valley Engineering and Asphalt, Inc., a heavy civil construction business in Roseville, and in his spare time he coaches baseball, softball, and soccer for his kids’ teams. Warren was presented into the Hall by his brother Bryan.
