Ellen Bugalski
Hall of Fame Class of 2002
Ellen Bugalski (class of 1982) – Ellen was a three-sport star at Aptos, playing volleyball, basketball, and track. Ellen was the SCCAL MVP in volleyball in 1981, and she was the SCCAL MVP in basketball in 1982. Ellen was selected to the All-CCS and All-Nor Cal basketball teams in 1982 as well. During her senior year, she averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists a game. Ellen matriculated to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she was a two-time All-American in volleyball. After graduation, Ellen was drafted in the 2nd round of the women’s professional volleyball draft by the New York Liberties. She also played for the Arizona Blaze and the San Jose Goldiggers. Ellen is married to Carl Ferreira, and they have three children, Kyle, Chad, and Elsie. Ellen was presented into the Hall by her brother Bob.
